Services

Tommy provides individual therapy for adults 18 and over, in a confidential, nonjudgemental, and supportive setting.

Therapy sessions are available face to face or via telehealth (video or phone). Each therapy session is 60 minutes, individualised and evidence-based, and focussed on helping you to heal and grow through life’s challenges.

Therapy Process

The first one or two sessions are likely to focus on initial assessment, including discussion and questionnaires, to form a shared understanding of your challenges, goals, and life history, leading to the collaborative development of your therapy plan.

Subsequent sessions focus on therapy, helping you to manage your challenges and to step towards your goals. Therapy is individualised and evidence-based, drawing on a number of theories and models, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Therapy often includes strategies during sessions, and action plans for outside of therapy sessions, to support your mental health and wellbeing.

Ongoing sessions can be arranged on a weekly, fortnightly or needs basis. Both short-term and long-term options are available. It is advisable that, if you are wishing to receive ongoing therapy, you book a number of sessions in advance.
